Job Title: Program Coordinator

What We Are Seeking: A self-motivated professional with solid interpersonal skills to ensure that the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2022 (VAWA) Alaska Pilot Project and other assigned projects adhere to established schedules, program specifications, and budgets. The Program Coordinator will meet with key stakeholders on a local, state and federal level to ensure the successful implementation of program objectives.

Additional Responsibilities: Engage with the Inter-Tribal Technical Assistance Working Group (ITWG) on Special Tribal Criminal Jurisdiction (STCJ) issues pertaining to the successful implementation of the Alaska Pilot Project and to seek recognition and accredited designations under the Alaska Pilot Program.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

3 + years of experience in program management or program coordination, and technical writing is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, and multi-level of external contacts.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.

Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Superb time management skills to ensure scheduled activities are followed.

Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), database software, and general office equipment with the willingness to learn new systems.

Certificates and Licenses Required: A valid Alaska Driver’s license is required for this position and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy.

Drug Testing and Background Check: This position is subject to pre-hire and random drug testing. This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check as a condition of employment.

AN/AI Preference: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples.
