Faltz Landscaping, Inc., is a residential and commercial design-build landscaping company located in Anchorage, Alaska. We have built our reputation through hard work and integrity, we are looking for the right person to join our team to help reach our goals along with the goals of our talented employees.

We are currently looking to fill the position of Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. This full-time seasonal position's responsibilities consist of performing general office duties under the supervision of the office manager. The applicant must have good organizational skills, a good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, and have good, professional communication skills in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities of the position are to interact with guests and customers in our office, answer telephone calls and direct inquiries to the proper personnel, assist the office manager with clerical duties including data entry, and general office upkeep. The position works directly with the executive manager and the president of the company.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Professionally welcome and accommodate customers visiting our office.

- Answer the telephone and collect viable client information in a respectful manner; direct inquires to the proper personnel

- Take messages and accurately forward them to the proper personnel

- Utilize computer office software (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.) to compile letters, enter data, and perform certain accounting and payroll functions (A/R, A/P, ets,)

- Enter and update client information for contact and appointment tracking

- Type, scan, fax, mail and file documents accurately and efficiently

- Help manage incoming and outgoing mail

- Perform certain banking tasks such as delivering deposits and data entry

- Potentially interact with retail nursery customers if necessary

- Understand our point of sale system and help keep accurate sale receipts collected and entered into our system

- Collect and enter employee time cards

- Maintain office appearance and operate coffee machine

- Communicate problems or improvements directly to executive manager

- Purchase and stock office supplies when needed

Requirements:

- Experience in reception and office duties is highly beneficial

- Experience in retail is helpful

- Applicant must be confident, take initiative, and be able to work well with strong individuals in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and accuracy are vital for a candidate to maintain a successful position with our company

- Reliable transportation with a current and clean drivers license

- Type 40 wpm and 10-key by touch
