Alaska Bead Company is looking for an energetic and outgoing Sales Clerk I to work Part-Time, Permanent, approximately 12-24 hours per week. Must be able to work some weekends.
Alaska Bead Company, the largest teaching bead store in Alaska, is a Retail Bead company that has a storefront in mid-town Anchorage and sells beads in their Web Store as well. ABC offers over 40 classes in beading, wire working, and other creative mediums.
Employee Job Duties:
1. Greet customersassist them with purchases and answer their questions.
2. Process customer purchases using the computer and Point of Sale software.
3. Demonstrate basic jewelry making techniques to customers as required.
4. Straighten, display, and restock store inventory.
5. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Note: This job requires Employee to be on his/her feet the entire length of his/her shift except for when he/she is on break.
Job Requirements:
1. High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
2. Retail store experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience working with the public preferred.
3. Basic knowledge and skill in making beaded jewelry preferred.
4. Must possess a high level of interest in beading.
5. Must have good math skills.
6. Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with the public.
Wage & Benefits:
1. Wage $10.25/hr
