Our busy Gallery-Gift shop is seeking a FT Manager with experience in selling art, jewelry, and crafts. We have been in business for over 32 years and have great reviews. Why am I advertising in Alaska you ask? Well one of my favorite managers in the past managed a gallery in Ketchikan for many years before I stole her away to warm and sunny Maui.
Applicants should be self-motivated, goal oriented, and high energy. Must possess accurate and efficient cash handling skills and require little to no supervision to accomplish tasks. We are open daily from 10am-5pm. Full time position is 5 days a week.
Great people skills and a professional appearance is a must. We are a busy mom and pop Gallery with great reviews. No task is too small. Besides being trained to assist with ordering you must be be able to organize, stock and maintain a beautiful display. Managerial experience is a plus but willing to train the right individual.
Must have excellent employment references and personal references A background check will be performed.

We are half an hour to town and a car is needed . For the right individual, a single applicant, a very nice furnished studio apartment is available on site. It will be free for the first month and after that at a reduced rate for FT employees only.
Compensation will depend upon experience. It will be a minimum of $24 an hour plus generous commissions for the FT employee. For an experienced manager with years of experience pay will be higher. Full health care coverage with HMSA which includes dental and eye coverage is part of the package as well as generous commissions.
