Licensed Massage Therapist Duties and Responsibilities
Summary of Position:
The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage therapy services to guests and members of the Athletic Club daily between the hours of 7:00 am-8:00 pm. Flexibility in your availability is crucial in providing this highly popular amenity to our guests and members. This position requires delivering high-quality treatments tailored to individual client needs while maintaining a relaxing and professional atmosphere. The Massage Therapist ensures a positive guest experience by demonstrating expertise, professionalism, and adherence to all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
o Perform a variety of massage techniques, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, sports, therapeutic massages, and trigger point therapy to alleviate pain and promote relaxation
o Conduct thorough assessments to determine individual needs and tailor treatment while adhering to anatomy knowledge
o Maintain cleanliness and organization of the massage therapy room and equipment
o Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment plans
o Uphold all sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with state regulations
o Adhere to scheduling and appointment times to ensure efficient operation
o Communicate effectively with clients and staff to create a welcoming and professional environment
Minimum Education
o High School diploma or equivalent
o Certification or licensure as a Massage Therapist in the State of Alaska and Insured
o Minimum of one year of professional massage therapy experience preferred
o Must be able to pass a background check
Minimum Experience
o Must have a basic knowledge of massage techniques and their therapeutic benefits
o Minimum of one year of professional massage therapy experience preferred
o Must be at least 18 years old or older
