Pacific Power Group is looking for an Apprentice Level Chassis Technician to join the team in Fairbanks, Alaska! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented and dynamic team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

•Determine unit condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies.

•Complete engine and chassis repairs identified during the diagnostic process.

•Verify performance by conducting test drives and making necessary adjustments as needed.

•Maintains vehicle records with an accurate documentation of service and repairs.

•Use good judgment and maintain a safe & organized work environment.

•Complete repairs in shop environment as well as repairs in remote field locations.

•Additional tasks may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

•Must have an understanding of diesel engines and chassis components.

•Excellent customer service skills.

•Excellent verbal and written skills.

•Ability to work independently and on a team.

•Ability to travel for extended periods of time.

•Ability to learn new products and skills.

•Ability to use hand tools in the shop as well as the field.

•Basic computer skills.

•Must have a valid driver's license, CDL preferred, but not required and must be insurable.
