About the Role:
As an Auto Mechanic at United Auto Sales, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to ensure they’re in optimal condition for sale. You’ll work on a wide range of makes and models, tackling everything from routine maintenance to more complex mechanical and electrical repairs. You’ll be part of a team where collaboration is key, and effective communication with both your team members and customers is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
-Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in vehicles
-Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brake services, fluid replacements, etc.) to ensure vehicle functionality
-Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, electrical systems, etc.
-Keep detailed records of repairs, services, and parts used
-Provide accurate estimates and timeframes for repairs
-Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of all work
-Communicate clearly with the team and customers regarding repairs, maintenance, and issues
-Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently, following safety protocols and industry best practices
-Show up to your shifts on time and eager to work
-Maintain the shop, tools, and equipment in great condition, ensuring they are kept clean, organized, and in good working order
What We’re Looking For:
-ASE Certification (required)
-Proven experience as an auto mechanic with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing all types of vehicles
-Own tools and the ability to work independently
-Ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues (mechanical and electrical)
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
-Team player: Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment
-Strong communication skills: Must be able to effectively communicate with the team and customers
-High school diploma (preferred), plus vocational training or apprenticeship (preferred)
