Busy Machine shop is looking for an engine builder. Must have resume and references.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete Engine Spectrum: Conduct a full range of engine machining and rebuilding tasks, from disassembly and
inspection to precise machining and reassembly of engines and components.
Technical Expertise: Proficiently handle tasks like honing cylinders, boring cylinders, resurfacing heads, balancing
crankshafts, and utilizing sophisticated measuring tools on CNC and manual equipment.
Encyclopedia: Demonstrate an encyclopedic knowledge of all makes, understanding the nuances of different models,
years, and engine variations. Stay abreast of the latest engine technologies and machining methods.
Craftsmanship and Quality: Take pride in delivering work that exceeds perfection at every stage of the rebuilding
process. Maintain a spotless and organized workspace.
Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with staff, and customers, keeping them informed of progress and
potential challenges.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, excel and/or Google sheets: Able to create and maintain reports of work.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
5+ years of experience as an engine machinist or builder.
Extensive experience with engines across various models and years.
Bonus if candidate is proficient in operating CNC machining centers, honing machines, valve machining centers, and
other relevant equipment.
Strong understanding of engine theory and principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proactive and collaborative attitude.
Proficient in metrology, ensuring precision in every aspect.
