The Sheet Metal Workers of Alaska Local 23 are currently looking for journeyman, and foreman caliber workers for both Sheet Metal Mechanics (installers & fabricators) along with Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration Service Technicians. This multi-disciplinary trade requires a broad range of skill sets. The ideal applicant may have and will need a wide range of general skills and knowledge or a specific specialty niche focus, a strong work ethic, honesty, willingness to learn and become an active member of our union family as well as get the pay and benefits you and your family deserve! This opportunity currently has immediate openings in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and the Southeast region of Alaska.
When applying for this organization, proof of 8000 hours worked in the HVAC division of the trade is expected for journeyman status and EPA card for HVAC/R Techs, Basic hand tools are required to begin work along with 8 hours annually continued education will be performed.
