Gage Tree Service – Anchorage
We’re not looking for a trainee or someone “interested in learning.”
We’re looking for a true mechanic — someone who’s been turning wrenches for over a decade and can keep a fleet running without hand-holding.
If that’s you, read on.
About the Position
We need a lead fleet mechanic to take full ownership of our maintenance program. You’ll be responsible for keeping our trucks and equipment in top condition — and for catching small problems before they become big ones.
Our fleet includes:
Pickup trucks and smaller dump trucks
Brush chippers and stump grinders
Equipment trailers and small machinery
You Need To Have:
Minimum 10 years professional mechanic experience (diesel and gas)
Valid driver’s license
Clean background check
Solid knowledge of automotive repair, diesel, hydraulics, electrical, welding, and diagnostics
Ability to stay organized, work efficiently, and take charge without constant supervision
If you’ve spent years in a real shop environment, know your way around a wrench, and take pride in doing things right the first time — you’ll fit in here.
What We Offer
$40–$50/hr (based on experience)
Year-round, full-time position
Paid time off
Health insurance
401(k) with company match
Great crew, new shop, and reliable equipment
Occasionally travel to our Wasilla branch
If you meet the requirements and you’re ready to run the show — send your resume and a brief summary of your experience.
No tire kickers. No “I can learn” applicants. We’re hiring for skill, pride, and accountability.
