Hallmark Locating is Looking for Seasonal Utility Locators for the Mat-Su Area
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Utility Line Locator to join our team.
No experience necessary, paid on the job training. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately locating and marking underground utilities to ensure safe excavation and construction practices. This role requires a strong understanding of utility systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in various outdoor environments. Work is seasonal (April-Oct)
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough utility locating services using specialized equipment to identify underground utilities.
Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the location of utilities.
Mark utility lines accurately on-site to prevent damage during excavation activities.
Collaborate with construction teams to provide accurate information regarding utility locations.
Perform field service duties, including conducting inspections and assessments of utility installations.
Maintain accurate records of utility locations and site conditions for reporting purposes.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites.
Qualifications
A valid driver’s license and decent driving record required
Previous experience in utility locating or related fields such as construction site management or field service is preferred. Proficiency in Map reading and understanding of cabling systems is preferred
Familiarity with land surveying techniques is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in marking utilities.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and accuracy.
