Sampson Steel Company is seeking a steel fabrication yard and coating process manager.
Applicant requirements;
Experience in materials shipping and receiving of large/heavy materials, directing the yard activities, while monitoring equipment management and operations.
Yard manager works directly with our product manager and project managers for material flow and scheduling.
Past "Yard management-Dispatch" Delivery scheduling with good organizational skills required in this position.
Yard manager is also manages our coating/paint department.
In total, you will be managing up to 5 employees.
This is a hands on job, along with directing others, you will be handling materials by the operation of a telehandler forklift, properly and safely handling large steel materials.
Experience in the direction of loading trucks with large steel fabricated steel.
Physical requirements;
Being dependable to work M-F, 8am to 5pm, 40 hour weeks, at our shop location in Anchorage.
Applicant must pass a background check, have a current ADL with a good driving record, and be qualified to obtain a Base Pass at JBER. (We often work at JBER, so you will need a drivers license and base pass)
Lift 50 pounds, and be physically and mentally involved at your job for a full 8 hour shift to preform it safely?
This is Hands-On work. Prospects will need to Pass a UA test? WE WILL UA TEST prior to hire
Wage will be based on your current skill level and experience.
