The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) General Support Services unit is seeking a Mail Preparation Specialist. General Support Services consists of the Copy & Print Center, Mailroom/Central Receiving, Surplus and Relocation, Recycling, and Property. The department is a team centered environment, focused on quality and strong customer service.

The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Mail Preparation Specialist is responsible standard/bulk mailing, including: consulting with customers, preparing address data files, mail merges, equipment operation, and management of the related postal account(s). The position must stay current on all applicable USPS regulations and procedures and maintain a positive working relationship with the USPS representatives. Operation of Copy & Print Center equipment for production of Mail Prep jobs as well as standard departmental production work on a regular basis is required. Management of the Distributed Copier (fleet copier) program also falls under this position and requires the ability to maintain a positive relationship with departmental customers and the contracted vendor, maintaining accurate records, supply inventories, and assisting the departmental director in the contract proposal process as needed. The position requires an individual who is highly dependable with strong communication skills and attention to detail. Must be able to work well as a member of a diverse team. The ability to remain organized and efficiently evaluate and complete tasks is vital to the success of this position

Wage: Minimum $16.99/hour DOE.
