Job Title: Department Manager
Starting Salary: up to $50,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-Time 40 - 50 hrs a week
Must be Available on Weekends and Holidays Shifts May Vary
Summary or Purpose:
Oversees and effectively directs general operations of daily business. Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining an efficient, positive environment that ensures present company goals and objectives are being met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are not intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by the Department Manager. Shown are the duties intended to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities. The Department Manager assist in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions/enforcing policy, training/coaching/team building, manage hours; overtime. Excellent customer service, product/service knowledge and education, scheduling, encouraging safe work practices, and demonstrated commitment to our guiding BAC Principles and policies. Customers experience : from the reservationist to the drop off/ billing statement, vehicle/ driver appearance, check / balance systems, be able to budget and manage operations costs efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or in a related field preferred. Or four to five years supervisory work experience of 10+ employees may be substituted for education. Qualified applicant must have a driver's license with a clean history for the last 3 years. Applicant must clear a Criminal History Records Check and a Security Threat Assessment in order to be qualified for an Airport Badge. Must pass a pre employment drug test.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a highly demanding and highly stressful environment, good eyesight, hearing, manual coordination and dexterity, good memory for details and procedures, good judgment and decision making skills the ability to work well in a team environment, must type at least 30 wpm, have experience with various computer programs such as excel, word, be able to motivate and lead a team effectively.
Knowledge in regards to the Transportation Industry/dispatching preferred.
