Vulcan Towing, a well-established towing company with over 30 years of experience in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and scheduling the dispatch of tow trucks and ensuring the efficient delivery of towing services to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently schedule and dispatch tow trucks to respond to service requests and emergency towing calls.
Prioritize and assign tasks to tow operators based on urgency and location.
Interact with customers and provide timely updates on arrival times and any potential delays.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Maintain clear and open communication with tow operators and other team members.
Collaborate with dispatch and towing staff to optimize service delivery.
Ensure that all towing operations comply with safety protocols and company policies.
Monitor and address any safety concerns during dispatch activities.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including job details and customer information.
Generate reports as needed for management review.
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless operations.
Provide support and assistance to tow operators as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. We are open to training candidates with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
A positive attitude, punctuality, and reliability are essential.
Salary and Benefits:
The Dispatcher role offers a competitive hourly wage of $17-20, based on experience and performance, with potential for overtime pay.

Working Hours:
Full-time position with a mid-shift schedule from 3-11pm, Thursday through Monday.
