Payroll & Tax Administrative Specialist Needed

Alliance CPAs LLC, located in Fairbanks, Alaska, is a local CPA firm providing professional services to all parts of Alaska. We are currently seeking a Payroll & Tax Administrative Specialist that will lead our tax department on the administrative side, as well as perform various other client services, such as payroll preparation and general bookkeeping. This position entails providing a first point of contact for our clients and potential clients as representative of the “face” of our firm. This is an excellent opportunity to work with the great individuals and businesses who make up our diverse client base which plays a significant role in shaping the Fairbanks community. This position is 100% in-office with benefits, including paid vacation time, a 401K plan, and health insurance.

The Payroll & Tax Administrative Specialist will be performing:

1. Answer and route Firm telephone correspondence.

2. Project organization in our software - Basic software knowledge required. We will provide extensive training.

3. Assembly/publication of final work products such as tax returns and financial statements.

4. Client onboarding – Collect basic client information for set-up in our systems.

5. Client follow up - Communication with clients regarding status of their requested services.

6. Scheduling - Schedule meetings between staff and clients.

7. Accounts receivable and billing - We will provide training.

8. Processing various payrolls and general bookkeeping for clients.

9. Various other administrative tasks.

Skills required:

- Basic software skills - Microsoft Office Suite, etc. We will train on our software and billing system.

- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task.

- Good work ethic.

- Excellent interpersonal social skills; written and verbal communication skills are key to providing professional client service.

- Previous work in a tax firm or consulting firm is a plus.
