This is a supervisory firefighting and engineer position overseeing day to day activities of the department. This is a 48/96 hour work scheduleand.nbsp;Duties and Responsibilities:1. Responds to emergency incidents and acts as incident commander until relieved. 2. Drives and operates emergency apparatus. 3. Performs firefighting including operating pumps and related equipment, laying hose, performing rescue, fire suppression, ventilation, containment, salvage and overhaul operations. 4. Administers emergency medical care to patients as prescribed by protocol. 5. Performs emergency aid and rescue activities, including basic life support, vehicle extrication, trail EMS, and providing other assistance as required. 6. Ensure facilities and apparatus are maintained. 7. Participates in drills, attends training and other related emergency subjects. 8. Ensure upkeep and maintenance of emergency vehicles 9. Maintains apparatus, training, and equipment records. 10. Enter Incident/INFIRS reports using current web based system. 11. Performs general maintenance work in the upkeep of the fire facilities and equipment including cleaning fire station, washes and dries hose, grounds keeping.
