As a Grounds Technician, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and appearance of your community in order to maintain a welcoming environment for residents and guests. A successful Grounds Technician is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform daily grounds maintenance of the property including picking up and disposing of all trash, sweeping walkways and taking care of landscaping and flowers
Clean pools as directed, monitor chemical balance, maintain logs as required by city ordinances, when applicable
Conduct inspections and routine repairs of the irrigation system, when applicable
As requested, assist Maintenance and Housekeeping teams preparing vacant apartment homes; trash out vacant units, etc
Clean windows, breezeways, all amenities/common areas, model homes and offices, complete building repairs/paint and replace exterior/ interior light bulbs as needed
Inspect, respond to, and follow up with safety issues, accidents, liabilities and emergency situations immediately
Qualifications:
Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
Able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift, if applicable
Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
Experienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Working knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organized
Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
US driver’s license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times
