Job Responsibilities -

* Daily operation of the Drop-In Center.

* Educate members on policies and procedures.

* Inform Executive Director or designee of any unusual incidents.

* Scheduling of staff/volunteers conduct regular staff and volunteer meetings.

* Respect and value all members, regardless of circumstances or behavior.

* Adherence to funding sources pertaining to program.

* Prepare and submit reports pertaining to program in a timely manner.

* Provide referral assistance and crisis intervention.

* Maintain and complete all required paperwork.

* Make available education and information to members regarding available resources.

* Work collaboratively with other agencies.

* Provide and arrange needed training.

* Assist with Grant Writing/ Reporting

* Report to and support the Executive Director

* Other duties as assigned.

The Program Director will demonstrate an interest in providing support for staff/members who are working to engage members through creative, resourceful strategies that build trust and confidence. The Program Director will view the high level of member interaction and the opportunity to learn how to relate effectively to members as an opportunity, not a draw back.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

• Knowledge of mental health; and appropriate skills in working with individuals with Mental Health/Substance Use disorders.

• Must have experience providing culturally specific programming; understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles.

• Skills in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication and computer skills, effective organizational skills and written, analytical, verbal and interpersonal skills.

• Skills in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with Community Partners, Agencies and Organizations.

• Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.

• Ability to work independently as well as with teams.

• Willingness to be flexible and work cooperatively with others to accomplish all responsibilities of the center.

• Initiative and creativity in problem solving and system development.

• Careful attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate and work effectively to empower staff/members by means positive engagement.

• Subscribe to philosophy of cooperation and continuity of consideration and respect for members.

• Ability to work independently with a minimum of direct supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)

• High School Graduate

• 3 years' Experience in the Human Service field

• Knowledge of Business Management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Leadership skills.

• Public speaking skills.

• Understanding of peer-support, advocacy, and the ability to discuss it intelligently with professionals and the public.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Background Checks, CPR/ 1st AID, TB Test

• Must have a vehicle with insurance and valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
