ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the day-to-day field activities to ensure that the project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date is met
Manage workforce including union employee dispatching, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules that make sure that upcoming events are communicated, tracked and are being proactively attended to.
Create and maintain a culture that values safety, health and cleanliness.
Manage and coordinate the work to ensure that it is constructed in an orderly and deliberate manner that is consistent with the standard-of-care set forth in the contract documents that is viewed by industry as an effort that is consistent with best-practices standards.
Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals.
Establish and maintain all dimensional controls for the project to include the use of third-party survey and layout personnel when appropriate.
Identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions.
Ensure all aspects of the project are compliant with contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and the community in which the project(s) takes place.
Administer client specific programs, such as CQC, Safety, Environmental Stewardship.
Support pre-construction activities including constructability reviews, material take-offs, site assessments, logistics planning, and resource allocation.
Conduct and/or attend pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings being used at all times to prevent avoidable rework.
Manage the punch list and project closeout process to assure timely completion.
Develop and submit daily project reports.
Maintain other daily paperwork to include timecards, equipment use, material receiving, and required correspondence.
Submit material requisitions and track deliveries
Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as Accounting, HR, and Payroll.
Hold regular status/safety meetings with project team(s) and inform them of relevant matters.
Effectively direct questions and issues from the field to the appropriate party.
Resolve and/or report project/personnel issues in a timely manner.
Tactfully communicate difficult and/or sensitive information.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of construction means and methods associated with the renovation and construction of commercial and institutional buildings and site work related thereto.
Knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work.
Knowledge of building systems including, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire alarm, with the ability to investigate and coordinate subcontractors and other required project participants.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet assigned deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to establish a professional work environment which includes: fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting proactive and effective communication, facilitating problem solving and for minimizing and resolving conflict in a constructive manner.
Familiarity with project management tools and reporting systems.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required)
Minimum 8 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility supervising construction projects with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor engaged in general building and civil construction.
Skill in the use of spreadsheet design systems, Microsoft Office, and software used in the construction industry at an intermediate level
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Current or ability to obtain the OSHA 30 hour Construction within 90 days of hire.
Current or ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED within 90 days of hire.
Ability to obtain any clearances required for the position, including access to military installations.
QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred)
Experience with USACE fully designed and design-build projects.
Experience in government contracting construction.

Prolonged periods of walking and standing on uneven, icy, or muddy surfaces.
Ability to navigate active construction sites safely.
Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Climbing ladders, scaffolding, or temporary structures to inspect work or access elevated areas.
Maintaining balance while working at heights or on unstable surfaces.
Exposure to extreme cold, wind, snow, and other Arctic weather conditions.
Working outdoors for extended periods in inclement weather.
Use of hands and fingers to operate tools, radios, mobile devices, and computers.
Writing, typing, and handling paperwork in field conditions.
Good vision and hearing to observe work, read plans, and communicate effectively in noisy environments.
Ability to distinguish colors, markings, and safety indicators.
Clear verbal communication in person and over radios or phones.
Coordinating physical tasks with teams in dynamic environments.
Ability to work long hours, including weekends or evenings during peak Maintaining focus and decision-making ability under physically demanding conditions

Compensation/Benefits
Salary range; between $150,000 to 175,000 for the ideal candidate
$10,000 signing bonus for the ideal candidate
