Mass Excavation is currently hiring a combined Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Oilier position for our North Slope division. This is a rotational position with either a 2 and 2 or a 4 and 2 schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
North slope experience preferred
Construction Industry experience
Well versed in General construction equipment repair and maintenance, more specifically Cat, Hitachi, Volvo, John Deere, and a variety of other misc. small equipment.
F.O.G. / Oiling experience, greasing equipment, and daily inspections
Equipment operating experience preferred
Clean driving record.
Abilities:
Able to lift 50 lbs
Must be dependable, punctual and have a strong work ethic
Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations.
Strong communication and service skills
Able to work in arctic conditions.
Team-oriented and able to maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, owners, community members and organizations.
Quick self-starter, Attention to detail, self-motivated, multi-tasker, must be willing to work outside and not be afraid to get dirty.
Responsibilities:
This position will be either day or night shift, and will require both field work and shop work, including traveling to some of our remote projects.
Equipment diagnosis, maintenance and repair.
Oil changes and greasing equipment. As required
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
This position is union through the Local 302 Operating Engineers. This is a full time position (40+ hrs/week - some evenings and/or weekends required)
