Summary: Reality Labs Research (RLR) brings together a world-class, cross-discipline R&D team with the shared goal of developing the next generation of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies. Our research focuses on developing comprehensive solutions to complex tracking problems and user interface technologies for AR and VR systems. You’ll have the unique opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team of industry-leading researchers and engineers, who are all working towards a common goal of defining the future of AR and VR.The Eye Tracking (ET) Research team is seeking a talented researcher to define and advance eye movement interpretation research. In this role, you will own development of mathematical models for the oculomotor plant and use these models to improve eye tracking performance. You will advance application research that relies on eye movement interpretation, including gaze-contingent display, AR/VR input, human understanding, and health. You will lead the effort to ensure all eye movement data is captured and processed in a privacy-preserving way. You will have the opportunity to drive related research internally and through collaboration with academic or industry partners.Join a world-class team of pioneers experimenting with breakthrough technology. Step into the adventure of a lifetime, as we make science fiction real and change the world.Required Skills: Visiting Researcher, Eye Tracking Responsibilities:Develop a comprehensive, multi-year research strategy to evaluate the impact of eye-movement interpretation to AR/VR applications

Evaluate impact of key gaze-contingent use cases as a function of eye tracking and eye movement signal quality

Identify new AR/VR use applications enabled by eye-movement interpretation

Drive exploration of privacy-preserving technologies to ensure responsible use of eye movement data

Establish relationships with key academic and industry partners to accelerate eye movement research

Learn constantly, educate others, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem solving

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:Proven track record of solving research problems through academic collaboration

5+ years experience in eye tracking or eye movement research

Experience communicating and working across disciplines to drive solutions

PhD in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:Experience leading research in gaze contingent applications, with an emphasis on privacy and authentication

Experience with oculomotor plant modeling using analytical models and machine learning

Demonstrated impact in the field of eye tracking through cited publications in venues such as ETRA, ICCV, or ECCV

Experience as Professor of Eye Tracking, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field
