Qualifications:
High school graduate or G.E.D. required. Higher education perferred. Good communication skills. Minimum of two (2) years office experiences. Typing, minimum of 40 wpm and 10-key experience. Excellent computer skills required. Must have a valid Alaska Drivers license and maintain personal automobile liability insurance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Preparation of computerized accounts payable, payroll, and various other
bookkeeping duties as required.
2) Maintaining payroll and accounting records including reconciliation of accounts.
3) Ensure timely payment and correspondence regarding agency financial obligations.
4) Maintain computerized accounts receivable for designated programs.
5) File insurance and Medicaid claims.
6) Order agency supplies and equipment as needed analyzing costs, features, and
reliability. Prepare comparative price quotes for board approval.
7) General office administration duties including typing correspondence as required.
8) Assist the Chief Financial Officer in maintaining the councils personnel records.
9) Administer breath alcohol test and urinalysis collection for alcohol and drug testing as needed.
10) Attend required trainings.
11) Act as backup to and assist clerical staff as needed.
12) Other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or the Executive Director.
