The Homer Veterinary Clinic is currently looking for a veterinary technician or Lead Technician to complete our team. We are a 2-3 veterinarian, AAHA-accredited practice, primarily small animal, with occasional exotics and wildlife. We focus on high quality veterinary medicine, encouraging teamwork, empathy, trust and excellence. We promote a healthy work/life balance and believe in investing in our staff and our community.
Experience is preferred and leadership/management skills are a bonus, however, we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude. We have a very close-knit team and are looking for another team member with a positive attitude who is self-motivated, hard-working and willing to learn. Skills may include but are not limited to the following:
-venipuncture/placing IV catheters
-taking x-rays
-anesthetic monitoring
-surgery preparation and patient recovery
-dentistry
-laboratory work
-medical treatments and patient care
-client communication
