Seeking an apprentice for a Finish Carpentry Contractor and Custom Woodworking shop. Business has been in operation on the Peninsula for the past 45 yrs. Solid company with excellent clients and reputation among the local construction industry.
Seeking an applicant that can demonstrate a self motivated interest in woodworking and carpentry. In other words, show us pieces that you have built on your own, or for others. These can be small pieces, or buildings you have worked on.
Also must be comfortable and some what experienced around construction power tools. Shop is located in Soldotna, and work takes place there, or in the immediate area. Own transportation and Drivers License is required, however most of the time you will leave from the shop in company vehicles.
Personal References would be greatly appreciated.
Starting wage will be 25.00 p/hr with 30-40 hours per week. Demonstrated skills and efficiency will quickly be rewarded with raises in pay.
