The HSSE Specialist I is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, security, and environmental compliance. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring HSSE policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment. The HSSE Specialist I will work closely with operational teams to promote safety awareness and ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards.ResponsibilitiesSupport, implement, and maintain HSSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, national, and international regulationsConduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSSE regulations and standardsMonitor and report on HSSE performance metrics, including incident rates and compliance levelsInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective and preventive action plansIdentify and assess potential hazards and risks associated with operationsImplement risk management strategies and control measuresConduct risk assessments and safety audits for new projects, processes, and equipment.Deliver HSSE training programs and workshops for employeesPromote a culture of safety and environmental awareness across the organizationEnsure that all personnel are aware of and adhere to HSSE policies and proceduresMaintain emergency response plans and proceduresConduct emergency drills and simulations to test response readinessCoordinate with emergency response teams and external agencies as neededMaintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standardsAct as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting and documentationMaintain accurate records of HSSE activities, incidents, inspections, and trainingPrepare and present HSSE reports and updates to managementStay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in HSSERecommend and implement improvements to enhance HSSE performance and compliance
