Able to meet the following competencies: Client/Family preparation and education, administration area safety, screening for the safe and appropriate immunization(s) to administer, preparation for the administering immunizations, maintaining correct and confidential documentation.Job Standards:
Provides safe, accurate delivery of needed immunizations to children age 0-18 years of age and adults, following policies and procedures as developed by the State of Arizona and Vaccine for Children Program, as well as those of Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Complete required documentation according to the Vaccine for Children Program and CRMC/MGMC.
Participate in yearly in-services or updates as required on safe and appropriate immunization practices.
Be prepared to and perform procedures necessary in the event of an adverse reaction to vaccine.
Educate parents/clients on the risks, benefits and potential side-effects of immunizations.
Ensures that vaccine storage meets regulatory requirements.
Collaborates with the CRMC/MGMC Community Integration Department and community partners to provide interventions to improve the health of the community.
Maintains confidential records and consents for all vaccines given.
Contacts with the community are conducted in a manner that supports the philosophy and reflects positively on CRMC/MGMC programs.
QualificationsMinimum:Education:Graduate of Accredited School of NursingExperience:One (1) year as RN, pediatric and community health experience. preferredLicensure:Current AZ State RN License in good standing.Current American Heart Association BLS card.Pay Range$41.34 - $41.34 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
