Assembles prepares and packages surgical instruments and equipment for various methods of sterilization and high level disinfection. Maintains quality control and biological monitoring systems for sterilization processes. Answers telephone and responds to requests for sterile instruments and supplies. Utilizes computer systems for case cart stock supply and stock return. Gives direction to fellow team members and works as relief lead in Supervisors absence. Orders and maintains implant inventory resolves implant and instrument issues and works as a liaison to all ORs and nursing units to meet our patients instrument implant and sterilization needs. Utilizes instrument tracking system to maintain instrument inventory.Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days.
