Detail-Oriented Cook and Personal Assistant Needed
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cook and Personal Assistant to support a private household in West Sedona, Arizona. This role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth functioning of the household, especially catering to the needs of an individual with Asperger's syndrome. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in maintaining order and adheres strictly to instructions and routines. You will be preparing vegetarian meals with some fish and cheese. A Sense of Humor will be gratefully appreciated.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals precisely according to specific recipes and portion sizes. You must be comfortable using a food scale and measuring cups and spoons.
Prepare buckwheat muffins, fresh fruit cups, dry fruit & nut cups, sugar free candy.
Organize her supplements and meds.
Consistently maintain the kitchen's organization, placing items exactly where they were found. If you are a bit OCD it is a plus!
Assist with menu planning for all meals and food shopping, with a focus on consistency and detail.
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness. Take pleasure in being organized.
Adhere to strict food handling and safety procedures.
Proactively manage kitchen inventory, ensuring no disruption in routine.
Drive to medical appointments, errands and food shopping.
Feed wild birds and water plants.
Help with laundry and humidifier.
Support her exercise, breathwork and hourly water intake program.
Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
Proficient in menu planning and recipe development, with a sensitivity to specific dietary needs.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for cooking and creating consistent, quality meals.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a structured environment.
Conscientious care for kitchen equipment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in harmony with household members.
Additional Details:
This role is part-time, requiring 15-21 hours per week during an afternoon shift, Monday, Thursday and Friday 11 or 12pm to 5pm.
The position is based in West Sedona, Arizona and requires the candidate to live within a 30-minute commute.
A competitive salary of $25.00 per hour is offered.
This is a long-term employment position.
