Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Front Desk Attendant to join our team at our charming boutique inn. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming, comfortable, and seamless experience throughout their stay. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm, professional, and friendly manner.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is accurately recorded in our reservation system.
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with reservations and general inquiries.
- Provide guests with information about the inn’s amenities, local attractions, dining options, and events.
- Process payments and maintain accurate cash and credit transactions.
- Ensure the front desk area is neat, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with special guest requests, including arrangements for transportation, local tours, or specific accommodations.
- Resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrival and that any maintenance issues are addressed.
- Keep track of room availability and assist in managing room assignments to optimize guest experience.
- Assist with administrative duties such as updating guest logs, preparing reports, and other clerical tasks as needed.
- Maintain security by following proper check-in/check-out procedures and monitoring access to the inn.
- Uphold the boutique inn’s standards for cleanliness, hospitality, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with computer systems and basic office software (experience with hotel management software a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- A friendly and professional demeanor with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
Ability to handle a high volume of guest interactions with a positive attitude.
