Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring the timely and consistent preparation of high-quality dishes. This role is key to delivering outstanding dining experiences and upholding food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout service.
Ensure all food is stored and handled properly, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist in the preparation and organization of ingredients and mise en place prior to service.
Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of dishes.
Monitor portions and presentation for consistency and quality.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly and safely.
Communicate with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to manage timing and resolve any issues during service.
Participate in cleaning duties, including dishwashing and deep-cleaning tasks, as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
Understanding of food safety standards and regulations (ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred).
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
Attention to detail, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment as a Line Cook or similar role.
Formal culinary training or certification is a plus.
Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
