REPORTS TO: OWNER/COORDINATOR

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs and directs overall store management. Responsible for inventory and money control systems. Directs staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Recruits staff and oversees training program. May contact prospective customers to promote sales – may establish inventory schedules. Responsible for local marketing initiatives. Maintains business records. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Completes and posts the staff work schedules on a weekly basis by utilizing the prior week’s prediction chart. Schedule is to include manager line shifts. Manager is to send in their prediction chart and their schedule to the corporate office every Wednesday morning by 9:00 AM for review and approval.

2. Works a minimum of 9 hours per day, 5 days per week/45 hours per week.

3. Clocks in and out on the Subway POS system every day to record all hours they are in the store.

4. Sets performance examples for employees by showing up early for shifts, participating in prep, sandwich preparation, clean up, inventory, and all other Sandwich Artist responsibilities.

5. Maintains business records as outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual. Analyzes business records and reports to increase sales and control costs.

6. Completes daily manager paperwork and deposits daily and forwards to Corporate Office as required.

7. Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new employees per PNR Subway’s new hire process.

8. Safe to be audited, batched, cleared, and filled daily. This process needs to be conducted prior to the opening of the day and only conducted by Manager or Corporate Office authorized controller.

9. Completes the weekly inventory process on Tuesday evenings and transmits to Subway HQ prior to the weekly deadline.

10. Completes the ordering process accurately and in a timely manner.

11. Receives, checks in, and stocks the order, or assigns an employee to assist with the stocking.

12. Ensures that all employees are following the cash management procedures.

13. Communicates changes of food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to staff.

14. Supports local and national marketing initiatives.

15. Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policy are followed.

16. Rewards, coaches, disciplines, and terminates staff as needed.

17. Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.

18. Plans special events and promotions

19. Performs any other task as assigned by their immediate supervisor, the owners or other Corporate Office employee.

20. Completes online coursework on the University of SUBWAY® as required by Subway and as directed by Pic-n-Run corporate office.

21. Understands and adheres to all Pic-n-Run policies and procedures as outlined in the

PNR Subway Employee Handbook, as well as to any additional policies and procedures implemented by Pic-n-Run, Inc. and/or Subway.

PREREQUISITES:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in QSR environment, experience in supervising and training staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Must have the ability to work a minimum of 45 hours a week.
