Office Associate Position currently open at Wisdom of the Earth, an essential oils company based in Cornville. This position primarily consists of shipping duties: pulling the products ordered from our on-site inventory and verifying them against the products listed on the packing slip; coordinating with other staff to double check the orders before packing them; packing the products according to current procedures to ensure they arrive safely to their destination; and coordinating with order staff to obtain the shipping labels printed from the sales invoices and assure the shipping label affixed to the order is the correct one. Record the day's packing activities in the mail log. At the end of each day, take the completed packages to the nearby Cornville post office for shipment. '
Other office duties may include ordering shipping and packing supplies for the company, and other administrative tasks, as needed, as it is a small office and operates in a team environment, where people assist each other, based upon the volume and nature of activity that day.
Personal traits that have proven to be successful in this role include: reliability; ability to focus in an open office environment, attention to detail, friendly, but not overly talkativeagain, it is an open environment, organizationized, cooperative, desire to learn, comfortable working in an environment where essential oils are displayed and are part of the work process, willingness to assist in greeting local customers/visitors into the storefront, until a trained order associate can assist them. Your work attire must be comfortable for working in small areas at times and for carrying filled mail baskets to your vehicle and then into the post office, yet professional enough to greet customers, if necessary.
This is a physically demanding role, as some of the products require using a step ladder to reach the top shelf of the storage bins to pull the oils, and there may be multiple, filled plastic postal bins to be carried to your vehicle and taken into the post office. So, that level of physical effort on a daily basis must be both doable for you and safe for you.
You will be required to use your vehicle for the post office runsit is literally within walking distance, but still requires an appropriate, reliable vehicle to enable you to do the job.
