Garland's Jewelry and Garland's Navajo Rugs, two high-end Native American art galleries in Sedona, AZ, are seeking a professional, friendly individual to join our sales team. We are a small family business passionate about the artists we represent and the art we sell.
Job Overview:
- Competitive hourly rate plus a 1% sales bonus.
- 32 - 40 hours per week (9:30 am - 5:30 pm daily).
- 1 week of paid time off in the first year, with more PTO after tenure.
- We start with a 2-week trial period to ensure a good fit for all parties.
We reward tenure with pay increases and additional paid time off. An honest, hardworking attitude and excellent customer service skills are essential. While knowledge of Southwestern art is a plus, we are happy to train the right candidate for success. Above all, we are seeking someone who excels in teamwork and is receptive to feedback.
All of our art is handmade, and we work directly with many of the best jewelers and artists in the Southwest. This position will include time at both of our Sedona locations: Garland's Jewelry in Oak Creek Canyon and Garland's Navajo Rugs in Sedona's gallery district. Candidates must have reliable transportation to work in Sedona or Oak Creek Canyon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn about Southwestern and Native American art, cultures, designs, and techniques.
- Engage and educate in-store customers about our handmade works of art.
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with jewelry orders or other inquiries.
- Maintain the gallery’s appearance for customers.
