Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, is seeking experienced, full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanics to be based at our shop in Tempe, AZ. Relocation assistance is available for those willing to relocate to a commutable distance to the shop in Tempe, AZ.
This role performs preventive maintenance, perform advanced diagnostics, and make complex repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily include Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment. Our specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.

Competitive hourly pay of $25+ per hour, depending on experience

Requirements:
2+ years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred
Provide own mechanic’s tools of trade
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment, use a smart phone, and a computer on a daily basis
Can work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship
Able to commute to shop in Tempe, AZ or willing to relocate to a commutable distance (relocation assistance available)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:
High school diploma or equivalent, technical school diploma a plus
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
