Relief Driver for Grand Canyon mail route

Vacancy expired!

Trucking Part-time Relief Driver job.

You would drive a Ford F-450. No need to have a CDL driver's license. On occasion, rarely if ever, you would drive a Chevy Kodiak 650, which is a 24-foot box truck.

Hours: Saturday 4:30am to 430pm or weekdays 4:30am to 5:40pm (a bit longer for weekdays). Need someone for 1-3 days a week, preferably Mondays and Saturdays. May also ask for a full week here and there for vacations.

The job includes driving the mail in the truck between post offices, Flagstaff, Parks, Williams and Grand Canyon. This is a Star Route Mail Contract, but you work for us not USPS.

There is a 4–5-hour layover at the Grand Canyon to hike, grade papers, study or sleep in the woods.

Has to be someone who is 21 yrs old, likes working in the outdoors and is physically fit. There are 6-foot-tall metal cages on rollers that need to be loaded on the truck. Lifting a ramp and positioning on the dock from the truck is also something to lift.

You will need a DOT Health Card, a background check, a 5-year MDV, and fingerprints done. All of these expenses will be reimbursed by us.

The job pays $150 dollars a day for 5 - 6 hours of actual work, mainly driving.

This could be good for someone who is semi-retired and looking for a part time job to get out of the house and go hike the canyon during downtime.
