Description Our reputable client is seeking a Payroll Manager to join the company. This Payroll Manager will be responsible for work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies, and will help achieve standards that are necessary for growth within the financial department. This may be the role for you if you are a dynamic Payroll Manager with excellent communication, proven leadership, and are deadline driven.Your responsibilities
Arrange payroll systems and timekeeping
Oversee and train payroll assistants and clerks
Comply with relevant laws and internal policies
Help create systems that process payroll account transactions, like salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments
Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions
Supervise system upgrades and the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises)
Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
Work with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
Create reports and ensure accuracy of records Requirements - 5+ years of payroll experience
CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus
2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Compliance knowledge
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
Past position in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
Proficiency in a range of payroll applications
Previous experience with multi-location payroll and taxes
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field
