This position is within the team developing the Carbon Dioxide Removal by Ionic Liquid System (CDRILS), an astronaut life support system for spacecraft, as well as other technologies that make it possible to live and breathe in space. This role will 1) support the design, build and test of the Carbon Dioxide Removal by Ionic Liquid System (CDRILS) for space and terrestrial applications. The successful candidate will support multiple teams to develop CDRILs systems for their unique application. Key Responsibilities:
Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CDRILS and other ECLSS programs (Environmental Controls and Life Support Systems)
Drive technical team(s) to solve key technical problems with workable solutions in a defined period of time
Support proposals and technology roadmaps
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor ‘s Degree
8+ years’ experience in Engineering
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
WE VALUE
Experience in spacecraft technologies, specifically CDRILs and ECLSS
Experience working with NASA
Experience being the point contact with customers
Experience being a Project Engineer
Experience writing technical papers
Experience presenting papers at conferences
Experience building a team that reaches across multiple site locations
Experience and eagerness to mentor junior engineers
Experience leading a technical team
