Electronic components, software, algorithms, and systems are key technologies needed to achieve the overall digital strategy.As Minister Controler, you will support Command for Hauling (CfH) Development and Validation work and various other testing related to autonomous operation.What you will do: Implementing MineStar® Command and maximizing system performance. Through close collaboration internally and externally, you will become a trusted advisor for development teams. Supporting and advising onboard Truck Engineers in all aspects of Minestar® system performance, including minimizing downtime. Providing technical support to Truck Engineers and less experienced Controllers. Supporting hardware and software installation and configuration through establishing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes. Measure, benchmark, and report on MineStar® Command System performance, and suggest opportunities for improvements. Developing training and process material. Identifying, documenting, and reporting on issues.What Skills you will have:Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.Product Testing: Knowledge of product testing approaches, techniques and tools; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.Top Candidate will also have:Bachelor’s degree in technology, math, or science.MineStar Experience.Additional information:The location for this position is Green Valley, AZ (Tucson Proving Grounds).Domestic relocation assistance is not available.This position may require 10% travel.Sponsorship is not available.What you will get:Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
