Volt currently has an opening for a Data Center Technician at our client site in Mesa, Arizona. In this role you will be responsible for the installation of servers, networking equipment, power and ethernet cabling in a datacenter environment. Please apply today if you are interested!
Racking and stacking servers in a data center environment
Installing and dressing cables: Primary/Secondary Power, DAC, CAT6, and Fiber
Installation of assets (servers, switches, PDUs) into server racks according to documented specifications
Labeling, installation, and dressing of cables (Cat6, Fiber Optic, DAC) in cabinet and from cabinets to IDFs
Tagging assets to ensure proper cataloging
Connect power/ data cables to specified switch port
Preparing completed racks for shipment and installation
Monitor and track all activity in ticketing system
Racking & stacking assets: switches, servers, cable management and baffles
All qualified candidates must be able to lift at least 20 pounds periodically through the day.
This is not a Desk position, be prepared to stand on your feet.
Steel toed shoes are required
The shift schedule will be Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
This position is an ONSITE not remote opportunity. Please make sure this is a commutable location for you five days a week before you apply.
Experience working with Data Center racks/servers and the physical installation of server racks, mounting server hardware and connecting all systems with power and ethernet cables.
