MUST have expert level competency in locating, booking, and dispatching appropriate loads for trucks using load boards and existing customers.
Current transportation market knowledge (understanding operating practices, structure, and management organization, including knowledge of lanes and rates)
Ability to plan ahead, trucks route should be planned out in advance
Knowledge of Flat Out Services and Customer’s equipment
Geographical Expertise, understanding of mileage as it relates to the passage of time, including DOT and speed governance
Good communication skills and ability to deal with people;
High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-year business degree preferred;
2-3 years step deck/equipment/ oversized transportation experience; in a dispatcher or transportation operations position.
