Position Overview:
We are currently seeking individuals to fill positions as Service Writer / Service Coordinator and/or Mechanics. The ideal candidates will be customer-focused, efficient, and skilled in both customer service and technical aspects or ability to write up invoices of boat maintenance. Depending on the applicants, we may fill multiple positions or find a qualified individual who meets multiple job descriptions.
Key Responsibilities:
For Service Writer:
Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Schedule service appointments and manage service workflows.
Prepare and review service estimates and invoices using QuickBooks.
Maintain accurate records of service transactions and customer interactions.
Communicate with customers regarding service status and quote additional repairs needed.
Ensure a smooth and efficient service experience for all customers and mechanics.
Run errands and/ or pick up parts in a timely manner.
For Mechanic:
Perform maintenance and repairs on boats and marine engines.
Diagnose mechanical issues and provide detailed repair recommendations.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot problems.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Ensure all repairs are completed to industry standards and in a timely manner.
Keep up-to-date with new technology and repair techniques in the marine industry.
Qualifications:
Customer service skills and the ability to interact occasionally with customers.
Previous experience or knowledge of boats and marine mechanics is a requirement.
Ability to learn quickly, take direction well and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Multitasking skills and strong attention to detail.
Relevant certifications or training in marine mechanics is a plus.
Clean driving record and experience with towing is a plus.
