Key Responsibilities:
Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials.
Help with the installation of structures such as frameworks, floors, and cabinets.
Load and unload materials and tools as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
Carry out tasks as directed by lead carpenters, including basic repairs and installations.
Keep track of inventory and report any shortages or needs.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction or carpentry is a plus but not required.
Good physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Willingness to learn and take direction from skilled carpenters.
