We handle complex exchanges—including reverse, improvement, and multi-party transactions—using Exchange Manager Pro as our core platform for managing and tracking client files.
We’re looking for an experienced Exchange Officer / Qualified Intermediary who understands the nuances of IRC §1031 exchanges and can confidently manage a portfolio of exchange clients from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Oversee and administer 1031 exchange transactions (forward, reverse, and improvement).
Draft and review exchange documentation, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and company standards.
Communicate directly with clients, CPAs, attorneys, title companies, and real estate professionals.
Track timelines, funds, and replacement property identification within Exchange Manager Pro.
Work closely with internal staff to ensure smooth closing processes and timely delivery of funds.
Maintain accurate records, compliance logs, and reconciliation reports.
Provide guidance to clients on general exchange procedures and identify potential red flags or issues.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Qualified Intermediary, Exchange Officer, Escrow Officer (required).
Strong working knowledge of Exchange Manager Pro .
In-depth understanding of §1031 tax-deferred exchanges and IRS guidelines.
Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously with precision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and client-service focused.
Experience in real estate, escrow, title, or tax preferred.
