Position: Area Manager

As an Area Manager you will be responsible for all property operations for four stores and oversee up to 7 employees. This is a salaried position, plus bonus, car allowance, cell phone, medical insurance. You will report to the Portfolio Manager who will provide training and support. We are looking for a self-discipline, self-starter who is highly organized and enjoys motivating others and interacting with customers.

Our Area Managers bring the Central Self Storage experience to life by managing store operations, driving financial success and building great teams. You have the ability to create an amazing environment and to work with Central Self Storage Managers who genuinely love what they do.

Position requires supervising up to 7 employees. You will be assigned to a home store, which you will work 2 days a week. In addition, you will be assigned to three other stores in your area where you will assist the team with quality customer service, training and overall management of the properties. Your working hours will be 10AM – 6PM 5 days a week. You will report to the Portfolio Manager.

Qualifications: Previous experience in managing multiple properties and employees. Two years or more of proven sales experience.

Compensation:

Salary: $48K to $50K plus monthly auto allowance of $400

Benefits: Eligible for medical and dental, vacation and holidays

Bonus: Home Store bonus program

Responsibilities include:

- Recruiting, hiring and training new employees. Coaching to improve overall performance of employee and properties. Take action to deal with disciplinary action and council employees.

- Communicating effectively with staff, customers, vendors and corporate staff. Assist employees in finding solutions to problems. Make recommendations for improvements at properties.

- Review delinquent accounts, bank deposits, lead to lease activity and various other monthly reports.
