Roles and Responsibilities of an Account Manager at Designed In Ink

Client Relationship Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.

- Understand and anticipate client needs, offering solutions that align with their goals for custom apparel and promotional items.

- Provide clients with updates on order status, ensuring timely communication throughout the production process.

Sales and Business Development

- Identify new business opportunities by researching potential clients, industries, and markets that could benefit from custom screen printing and embroidery services.

- Upsell additional products and services to existing clients, such as custom shirts, hats, and safety vests, or more premium options like embroidery versus screen printing.

- Create proposals and pricing strategies that are competitive, ensuring profitability while meeting customer expectations.

Order Management

- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure customer specifications are met, from initial concept to final product.

- Manage the entire order cycle, including order entry, artwork approval, and production scheduling to meet deadlines.

- Ensure accurate product and service details are entered into the system, including quantities, sizes, colors, and any special requests.

Quality Assurance

- Review client artwork and ensure that all specifications meet the company’s production capabilities and quality standards.

- Conduct follow-ups after order completion to ensure customer satisfaction and address any post-delivery concerns or issues.

Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution

- Address and resolve any client issues or concerns related to production, delivery times, or product quality.

- Provide solutions to any challenges that arise during the production process, ensuring smooth and efficient order fulfillment.

Collaboration with Teams

- Liaise between clients and internal teams (design, production, shipping) to ensure all parties are aligned on client expectations and timelines.

- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies for attracting new clients and retaining existing ones.

Reporting and Analysis

- Track and report on sales activities, client feedback, and order trends to management for continuous improvement.

- Use CRM systems to maintain up-to-date client records, including order history, preferences, and special requirements.

Customer Education and Consultation

- Educate clients on the different techniques and products available, helping them choose between options like screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer, and sublimation.

- Provide advice on the best materials and styles for specific needs, such as custom workwear, promotional items, or corporate branding materials.
