Activities Director (Adults-Only RV & Mobile Home Community)
Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Activities Director to plan, organize, and oversee recreational and social programs for our adults-only RV & Mobile Home Community. This role is perfect for someone who loves engaging with people, fostering a sense of community, and creating fun and enriching experiences for residents.
As the Activities Director, you will be responsible for developing a diverse calendar of events, ensuring activities promote social interaction, wellness, and entertainment. Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities and events (social gatherings, fitness classes, arts & crafts, game nights, outings, educational workshops, etc.).
Develop and maintain a monthly event calendar, ensuring a mix of recreational, cultural, and wellness-focused activities.
Engage with residents to identify their interests and tailor activities accordingly.
Coordinate with vendors, entertainers, instructors, and volunteers for special events and programs.
Manage activity budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effective planning.
Promote events through flyers, newsletters, social media, and community announcements.
Oversee event setup, execution, and clean-up, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Maintain records of participation and evaluate program success for continuous improvement.
Encourage resident involvement and foster a welcoming, inclusive community atmosphere.
Collaborate with property management to enhance overall resident satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, recreation, or community engagement.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging activities.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
Proficiency in basic computer skills (email, social media, calendar management).
Ability to lift and move event-related materials when needed.
