Great seasonal gig selling artisan cheese at local farmers markets in Greater Phoenix, and the East/West Valley areas on weekends. Some weekdays available. Pay is $18+ per hour to start, with commission to follow if doing your own market. The farmers market season runs from Mid-November through April. We're looking for people who enjoy working independently, talking with people, and are really dependable. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment will do really well.
A typical farmers market day involves waking up early, coming to our warehouse, loading the van with cheese and market supplies, driving to market, selling cheese at your market (4-5 hours, depending on the market), driving back to the shop, and unloading. Days can be 9-11 hours, depending on market duration and drive time. Heavy lifting is involved (cheese is heavy!) so, consider it getting paid to work out.
Weekend and weekday market positions are needed. Reliable transportation to/from the warehouse is necessary.
