Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design software. They will work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality design documentation. This position is 100% remote applicates must possess the ability to work well independently.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed 2D drafts, technical drawings, and 3D models using industry
standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, Revit, etc.).
Interpret and accurately transfer design specifications, sketches, and redline
markups into CAD drawings and models.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand
project requirements and design specifications.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations in
the design process.
Modify and update existing CAD drawings and models as per change requests
or design revisions.
Maintain organized and up-to-date CAD file libraries and archives.
Prepare and distribute CAD drawings, renderings, and related documentation
to relevant parties.
Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other design
documentation as needed.
Stay current with the latest CAD software versions and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or technical diploma in CAD/Drafting, Engineering
Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a CAD Technician or in a similar role.
Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., (e.g., AutoCAD,
AutoCAD Architecture, Revit, etc.).
Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, principles, and best
practices.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes, regulations, and design standards.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and modeling.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative
environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus.
