Requirements:

SolidWorks Expertise: Extensive experience with SolidWorks, including a strong grasp of drawings and Bill of Materials.

Electrical and mechanical Background in building with Machinery.

Organizational & Communication Skills: Strong ability to stay organized and communicate effectively.

Interdepartmental Networking: Skill in collaborating with colleagues across departments to gather necessary information.

Time Management: Respect for scheduled time and deadlines.

Quick Learner: Ability to rapidly understand industry-specific terminology, challenges, and solutions.

Location & Transportation: Must be a resident of the Greater Phoenix area with reliable transportation to the Tempe worksite.

MS Office Proficiency: Competent in using Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Design/Building Experience: Experience in designing or constructing equipment, enclosures, or custom-fit pieces.

Self-Motivation: A driven individual who learns quickly and takes initiative.

Multi-tasking in Production: Capability to handle multiple tasks in a production environment.

SolidWorks Certification: Certified SolidWorks Professional.

Responsibilities:

Product Design & Improvement: Design new products from scratch and enhance existing ones using SolidWorks CAD, following the direction of Design Management.

3D Modeling: Quickly convert ideas and rough sketches into detailed 3D models.

Manufacturing Drawings: Create precise 2D and 3d drawings of parts and assemblies for manufacturing purposes.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with design and manufacturing teams.

Prototype Development: Assist in the procurement, construction, and testing of prototypes and new products.

Design Review: Ensure drawings are complete and participate in design reviews with management and suppliers.
